Behind ERIDIS PRINTING
I grew up loving entrepreneurship. Both my parents were entrepreneurs, but it was particularly through my mother's business, which operated in the printing field, that I began to take an interest in this area.
When I was younger, I used to see the calendars that my mother's company produced for other entrepreneurs. I found it interesting and I remember thinking that one day, I too would like to have a company whose name would appear on a calendar. I loved the idea of entrepreneurship, of developing my own projects and building something of my own.
During the holidays, my sisters and I would sometimes help at the print shop by participating in certain tasks, and when printed materials needed to be delivered, I often accompanied my father. Being the eldest, I regularly found myself by his side for these deliveries. Over time, I thus discovered different stages of work in the print shop, from production to delivery.
The more I discovered this field, the more I wanted to work in it myself. I didn't just want to have a business: I wanted to have my own print shop, participate in the manufacturing of various printed materials, and offer printing services. This project followed me into my studies. When I was studying business creation and project management, professors would sometimes ask us to choose a project to work on. For me, the choice was already made: it was my print shop project. Whether it was designing a project, planning activities, or thinking about risk management, I kept coming back to that same idea.
From one course to the next, I developed different parts of my project. When I had to start from an idea, give it a name, and think about how to make it a reality, I could already rely on what I wanted to build. I wasn't just doing these exercises to meet course requirements; I really had in mind what I wanted to develop and I used these assignments to think about how to achieve it. It was in this context that the name ERIDIS PRINTING took shape. ERIDIS comes from one of my middle names, while PRINTING refers directly to the printing activity I wanted to develop. The name thus combined something personal with this project that was close to my heart.
To this was added my interest in computing, graphic design, and everything related to digital technology. I love to learn, create, and make things by myself. When I took my graphic design courses, I wanted to take advantage of my final project to also design the visual identity of this company. I wanted to be able to create my own visuals and develop the various elements needed for my project. Several of my interests thus converged toward the same idea: having my own print shop and being able to intervene at different stages, from graphic design to the production of printed materials.
Over time, someone around me told me about Cricut. I started to take an interest in it, then I bought my own machines. For someone who already loved printing and was interested in screen printing, the possibility of customizing clothing, mugs, hats, and various objects was fascinating. I was discovering new ways to work with designs and bring them to concrete life.
This discovery allowed me to explore another facet of my interest in printing and customization. But my initial idea remained broader: I wanted to be able to produce business cards, flyers, posters, documents, and other printing work, while exploring different techniques and materials. ERIDIS PRINTING was therefore not designed only around personalized products, but around a printing project that could evolve gradually, according to the possibilities and resources at my disposal.
At the same time, there was another dimension that was already part of my life: I loved creating my own designs. I loved designing visuals, playing with words, and creating designs from phrases, ideas, or messages that spoke to me. Some creations were simply intended for myself. I might feel like wearing a word or phrase on a piece of clothing, or customizing an object to my own taste. Other times, I would create something for someone else, especially for a birthday or to encourage someone. I could start with a Bible verse, a message, or an idea, then think about how to represent it graphically and what material I could print it on.
Through these creations, printing also became a way to bring my own ideas to life. I could design something, choose a material, and imagine the final result. However, even if I already enjoyed creating and customizing different objects, I was not yet necessarily thinking about creating a product brand. In my mind, it was mainly another way to explore my creativity, in parallel with my printing project.
One day, during a conversation with someone close to me, I shared my passion for printing designs on clothing, hats, and various other items. That was when they asked me a simple question: “Have you ever thought about turning it into a business?”
Around that time, I was also looking for creative ideas for their birthday. I was thinking about Bible verses, encouraging messages, and different ways to bring them to life through designs. This search led me to explore countless possibilities and imagine creations that could be more than just personalized items.
I had never really looked at it from that perspective. Until then, I had mainly been thinking about what I wanted to develop with ERIDIS PRINTING. I created designs because I enjoyed doing so, without necessarily imagining that they could grow into something more. But then again, why not? Why limit myself to that initial idea? Why not make my creations available to others?
I began to wonder whether these designs could become more than a simple expression of my creativity; whether they could also share a message, remind someone of a biblical truth, or offer encouragement in their everyday life. After all, if a creation could encourage one person, why not make it available to others so they, too, could find a message that speaks to them?
My printing business already existed through ERIDIS PRINTING, as did my interest in graphic design and creative work. But this reflection led me to see things differently: beyond offering printing services, I could also develop my own designs and share them with others. That is how the idea for ERIDIS COLLECTION was born—a space where creativity meets the messages I want to share, with the hope that each creation can, in its own way, touch and encourage someone.
Today, ERIDIS PRINTING represents the dimension of my business dedicated to printing and making ideas a reality. It is in this context, in particular, that the designs developed for ERIDIS COLLECTION can take shape on various materials.
But printing is not only about my own creations. You may have a verse that is close to your heart, words you would like to see printed, or a design you wish to put on a particular medium. You can also contact us to present your idea and see how to bring it to life. Depending on the desired product and available possibilities, we can examine printing and customization options to find a solution adapted to your project. Production may be entrusted to specialized suppliers, depending on the type of item and the requested customization.
ERIDIS PRINTING and ERIDIS COLLECTION are therefore two complementary dimensions of my universe. ERIDIS PRINTING is linked to printing and the realization of your ideas, while ERIDIS COLLECTION highlights the designs, messages, and products that I create. One does not replace the other. They simply respond to two different aspects of the same interest in creation and printing. What had started as a dream of having my own print shop thus continues to evolve. My journey has allowed me to explore different ways to make this project a reality, while discovering new possibilities through my own creations.
