Behind the Built With Purpose collection

God created each of us with intention. Our lives are not the result of chance, and our existence is not devoid of meaning. Even when we do not yet understand everything God is doing, we can rely on this truth: He created us with a purpose.

It is this truth that lies at the heart of the Built With Purpose and Diseñado con Propósito designs. We may sometimes let our past, our mistakes, our circumstances, or even the opinions of others define how we perceive ourselves.

Yet, our identity does not depend on what others think of us. It begins with the One who created us. Ephesians 2:10 says: "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

The phrase "we are his workmanship" reminds us that God has fashioned us intentionally. Psalm 139:14 also reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by Him. He created us, each with our own story, abilities, personality, and journey. He has also prepared works that we are called to accomplish.

But knowing that we have a purpose does not necessarily mean we already know how we will fulfill it. There are seasons when we know exactly where we are going. And there are others where we move forward without really understanding what God is doing, or what steps we must take to get to where He is leading us.

Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us precisely of this: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

We do not always see the big picture. But the fact that we do not see the plan does not mean there is none. There may be periods of building, waiting, changing, or even starting over. Some seasons can be difficult, to the point where we may wonder if we are really on the right path. Yet, these moments do not mean that our lives have lost their meaning or that we no longer have a purpose.

The word "Built" evokes the very idea of being constructed, fashioned, and formed. We are still being molded in the hands of the Potter. We are learning, growing, changing, and gradually discovering what we were created for.

Sometimes we would like to have all the answers already. We would like to know where we are going and understand what God is preparing. Yet, He may be working in us even before we understand what He wants to accomplish through us.

And even when the path is difficult, we can remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11. God speaks of plans for peace, a future, and a hope. We do not always understand what we are going through, and our journey does not always match what we had imagined. But we can continue to trust Him, knowing that the difficulties we encounter do not, by themselves, define our future.

With Built With Purpose and Diseñado con Propósito, I wanted to create a statement that can be worn as a reminder: we were created intentionally and our life has a purpose, even when we do not yet see the direction. Even when we do not understand everything, even when the path is difficult, and even when we do not yet know what awaits us, we can trust the One who created us and keep hope in what He has prepared.

This is ultimately the heart of this design: to remember that our life is not accidental, that our identity does not depend on our past or the opinions of others, and that, even in the midst of difficult seasons, we can continue to move forward with confidence, knowing that God created us with a purpose and that He gives us a future and a hope.
